PreK Application Process 2016-17

Onslow County Schools PreSchool Department will accept applications for children living in the Onslow County School District.

The Onslow County Preschool program is comprised of four program components: Head Start, Title 1, Exception Children and NC Pre-K designed to provide children who may not otherwise be served, with a valuable educational experience for 6.5 hours per day. Children must be three or four years old on or before August, 31, 2016 in order to be eligible and meet specified qualifications. Those who have children with a diagnosed disability or assessed educational concern should also apply.


The following documents must be provided at the time of application:

Certified Birth Certificate

Immunization Record

Water or Electric Bill (If living with a friend or family, a NOTARIZED statement is needed along with the bill

Legal Documents (custody, adoption, guardianship, etc.)

Foster Care/Kinship Care

Disability/IEP Documents

Last 12 months of income (Income documents include: tax documents 1040, W2; Last paystub/LES from Dec. 2014; Child Support for all children in home even if not received; Pell Grants/Scholarship/GI Benefits/1098T, SSI/WFFA/TANF; Social Security Benefits/Disability; Veterans Benefits; Unemployment Benefits; Retirement Benefits; Alimony
